Derek Griggs 1935 – 2025

Derek Griggs sadly passed away at Bridport Hospital on 30th August 2025.

Derek was Club Captain in the Sixties and then went on to run the Colts side and became Club Chairman in 1976, a position he held until 1993. He was also involved with Rec.Soc Committee and was supported throughout by his wife Peggy, who sadly died in 2020.

Derek retired from Aldermaston in the late 90’s and moved down to Dorset where both Peggy and he became involved in the local Golf Club, but he always stayed in touch.

A Life Member of Aldermaston Rugby Club, he will be missed by all who knew him.
